Two people are charged in Florence County with child neglect.
Corcella Bulania Isaiah, 44, is charged with two counts of Unlawful Neglect of a Child, and Michael Isaiah, 47, is also charged with two counts of Unlawful Neglect of a Child, and one count of Giving False Information to Law Enforcement.
The two placed six children, ages four months to fifteen years, in what Florence County deputies call a unreasonable risk of harm by allowing them to live in deplorable conditions in their home.
All of the children were taken into protective custody by the Department of Social Services. The youngest child had to be admitted to the hospital and treated for malnutrition, according to the Florence County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say Michael Isaiah initially refused and later provided false information about the whereabouts of a nine-year-old child.
Both suspects remain at the Florence County Detention Center under a $150,000.00 surety bond.
