      Myrtle Beach man charged with felony DUI after head-on collision

      A Myrtle Beach man is charged with Felony DUI after an accident at Forestbrook Road near Quail Hollow Road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

      Thomas Tiedeman is charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under Suspension after an accident at Forestbrook Road near Quail Hollow Road in Horry County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

      The collision happened around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.

      Troopers say Tiedeman crossed the center line and hit a minivan head-on.

      Tiedeman was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center by ambulance. The woman driving the minivan was air lifted to the same facility. Her condition has not been released.

      According to the online Horry County court records, Tiedeman was charged with Driving Under the Influence in April, and that case is still pending.

      The collision remains under investigation.
