Lumberton woman charged with husband's murder almost a year later

Robeson County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Lumberton woman for her husband's murder that happened in April of last year.
Carol Anders, 53, is charged with First Degree Murder, Insurance Fraud, Conspiracy Insurance Fraud, Attempt Obtain Property by False Pretenses, and Conspiracy Obtain Property by False Pretenses.
On April 26, 2013, police responded to an assault and shots fired call at a home on Price Road.
They found Forace Oxendine, 57, dead in his backyard.
Deputies say he had multiple injuries that cannot be disclosed at this time.
An investigation by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, Lumberton Police Department, North Carolina SBI, North Carolina SBI Medicaid Fraud Unit, North Carolina Department of Insurance and Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms led to the arrest of Oxendine's wife, Carol Anders.
Deputies say the case is still under investigation and more charges and arrests are expected.
Anders is in the Robeson County Detention Center with no bond.
