Around 1:30 p.m. Friday, three men in ski masks robbed the Horry County State Bank at 3187 Highway 9 in Little River.

The men were armed with handguns and one shotgun and demanded money. Horry County police originally reported shot were fired during the robbery. They now say no shots were fired. No one was hurt.

Police say the men left the bank in a red Dodge Stratus with chrome rims and tinted windows. The vehicle was located abandoned over the weekend in a wooded area off of Hwy. 90 in Longs.

Detectives have now obtained surveillance photos of the incident. As you can see, the people involved all have their faces covered with either ski masks or hoods. Detectives are hoping someone in the community may recognize something in the clothing the robbers are wearing, or in particular, something about the bad one of the robbers was carrying.

It is described as beige with a red or burgundy bottom, top and straps and looks like a handbag. Also, the same robber is wearing a black long sleeved jacket with a gold pattern on the left sleeve and a larger gold pattern on the back of the jacket.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle to contact them at 915-5350. You may also call 915-TIPS if you wish to remain anonymous.
