Florence women arrested on eleven Forgery counts
Florence County Sheriff deputies arrested an employee of the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board.
They charged Lata
ha Thomas, 30, of Florence, with eleven counts of Forgery on Monday.
Between November 17, 2012 and April 10, 2013, Thomas, who had no signature authority, is forged the name of her supervisor on eleven separate checks belonging to patients at the facility location in Timmonsville, according to a press release.
All checks were cashed at a local grocery store, says the release.
Thomas was released from the Florence County Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
