Ex-deputy sentenced to 400 years in prison

A former Florence County Sheriff's Deputy has been sentenced to 400 years in prison for fraud in connection with the deaths of his parents.

In March, a federal jury convicted Timothy Poole on 20 counts of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. Police say he killed his parents in August of 2006 to collect money from their 5 million-dollar estate.

Poole's wife was initially charged, but she was granted immunity for her testimony against her husband.

Poole is not eligible for parole.
