Coroner: Remains found in Florence County are those of Angie Pipikin

Angie Pipkin had been missing January.

Human remains found in a wooded area along Timberwood Road in Florence County May 14, are those of Angela Grace Pipkin, 32, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.

The identification was made through DNA testing, von Lutcken said, and the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Pipkin has been missing from Horry County since January.

Randy Robinson is charged with her murder.

Crews had searched the Great Pee Dee River in Darlington County several times for her body. Police say their investigation had led them to believe that Robinson dismembered her body and dumped her there.

The Great Pee Dee River is very close to the area in Florence County where the remains were found.
