      Conway man sentenced to 30 years in prison for deadly shooting

      A man who shot a Myrtle Beach man to death in 2012 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

      Shelton Lathal Butler Jr., 21, of Conway was convicted of Murder by an Horry County jury Thursday.

      Butler shot Jose "Rico" Gutierrez, 20, of Myrtle Beach in an apparent robbery on Ron McNair Boulevard on June 8, 2012.

      Butler is still facing charges of Witness Intimidation and Obstruction of Justice arising from the murder case.

      Donovan Johnson of Conway and Charles Johnson of Myrtle Beach were also charged in the connection to the shooting.

      They will be tried in the coming weeks.??
