Bond denied for 4 of 6 suspects in homicide

Five of the six people charged in connection to the armed robbery and murder of an Aynor man made an initial court appearance Sunday morning for a bond hearing on their armed robbery charges.

An Horry County magistrate denied bond to Jamie Dean White, Paige Furniss, Charles Skipper and Crystal Turner. He set Stacey Johnson's bond at $100,000. The sixth suspect, Luther Oxendine, remains in a Dillon County jail awaiting extradition back to Horry County.

None of the suspects had a bond hearing for the murder charges since only a circuit court judge can do that. That is expected in the next couple of weeks.

All six are charged in the killing of 54-year-old Ronald Rabon of Aynor. Rabon was found shot to death on Tobacco Leaf Lane in Aynor on Thursday morning after an apparent robbery, Horry County police said.

Mr. Rabon was laid to rest on Saturday.
