Cornelius Ray Woods, 41, of High Point, NC, has been identified by Myrtle Beach Police and the High Point Police Department in North Carolina as the shooter in the shooting that took place at the Fountainbleau Inn Saturday.

Woods is currently in jail in Guilford County for an unrelated shooting that took place in High Point.

Myrtle Beach Police recovered a video from the hotel that showed the shooting and the people involved.

They also received information from High Point Police Department about the possible identity of the individuals involved, and the two departments were able to identify all the people involved.

Police say this shooting was about narcotics.

The victim, who was shot in the leg, was found by police at an area hospital and was uncooperative.

At the time of the shooting, Woods was on federal probation and was not allowed to leave the state.

Woods is already facing charges of Attempted Murder from the shooting that took place in High Point. He is being held on $1,000,000 bond for that charge.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department has issued warrants for Woods for Attempted Murder, Use of a Firearm in a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
