Agents find meth labs in Myrtle Beach golf community

The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit in Horry County is working three locations they say are involved in a methamphetamine operation.

D.E.U. Agent Dean Bishop says the D.E.U. has been tracking six people for about a month who have been buying pseudoephedrine through the state's new database. The database tracks purchases of common ingredients used in making meth.

Agents arrested six people Friday, five men and a woman.

Agents say they found an active lab at Myrtle Beach Golf and Yacht Club in the Socastee area of Horry County. They say a storage unit and an apartment down the road are also involved in the investigation.

Bishop says two children were in the home at the yacht club. The Department of Social Services has taken custody of them.

Bishop says they're not sure how much meth has been involved with this lab, but so far they've only found one gram.

Charges are pending against Justin Price, Michael Johnson, Danny Little, James Marohl, Luis Valencia and Lisa Valencia. They've been taken to J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
