6th grade teacher arrested for being drunk in class

A Robeson County school teacher is suspended from teaching and faces charges after police say she was drunk in class.

Officers arrested Robin Barnhill at Townsend Middle School in Maxton, where she teaches sixth grade.

Her blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit, according to deputies.

She had a plastic bottle of orange juice and a bottle of vodka, deputies said.

Barnhill is charged with two counts of the Possession or Consumption of Fortified Wine, Liquor or Mixed Beverages on Unauthorized Premises.
