5 arrested in drug operation

Thursday afternoon the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Myrtle Beach Police Department and the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, announced the arrests of five people in a ongoing drug investigation.

Myrtle Beach Police Chief Warren Gall and Brunswick County Sheriff John Ingram announced the arrests.

Investigators say they arrested 5 men at a home just outside Loris on Highway 9 in Horry County. They say they seized more than 2,000 grams of cocaine along with guns and $180,000.

Christopher Jerome Elleby, 29, is charged with trafficking cocaine - 400 grams or more and trafficking in Ice, Crank, or Crack more than 28, but less than 100 grams.

Robert Fonseca, 30, is charged with trafficking cocaine - 10 grams or more, but less than 28 grams.

Esteban Rivera, 18, is charged with trafficking cocaine - 10 grams or more, but less than 28 grams, trafficking in Ice, Crank, or Crack more than 28, but less than 100 grams, and firearms/possession, purchase, sale, or transport by an unlawful alien.

Zacarias Gomez Espinosa, 34, is charged with trafficking cocaine - 10 grams or more, but less than 28 grams, trafficking in Ice, Crank, or Crack more than 28, but less than 100 grams, and firearms/possession, purchase, sale, or transport by an unlawful alien.

Jorge Rivera Albarran, 47, is charged with trafficking cocaine - 10 grams or more, but less than 28 grams, trafficking in Ice, Crank, or Crack more than 28, but less than 100 grams, and firearms/possession, purchase, sale, or transport by an unlawful alien.

Investigators say U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officials have been notified of the arrests of Albarran, Espinosa, and Rivera.
