Donnell Vereen, 32, and Lionel Bessellieu, 32, both of Georgetown were arrested for a home invasion in the McDonald Community of Georgetown County, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.
Around 11 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a home on Player Street for a report of a home invasion.
Deputies say the victim and her cousin walked to a neighbor's house where the cousin set the victim's phone down. When the victim and cousin returned to the home on Player Street, the cousin realized she picked up Donnell Vereen's cell phone. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door. An individual told the victim to return Vereen's phone. According to deputies, the victim turned to pick up the phone, and Vereen charged through the door and pushed the victim against a wall, then put what appeared to be a handgun to the victim's head and threatened her.
The cousin was in a bedroom and told Vereen she had called police, deputies say Vereen then left the scene.
On Thursday Verren and Bessellieu were taken into custody by GCSO deputies.
Vereen is charged with one count of 1st Degree Burglary, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Kidnapping. Bessellieu is charge with one count of 1st Degree Burglary and Kidnapping.
The two are in jail awaiting bond hearings.
