More than 20,000 people are expected to show up for the Public Schools of Robeson County's annual back to school bash Thursday at the Southeastern North Carolina Agricultural Events Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The district is providing students with notebook paper, activity books, crayons, markers, note cards, sticky pads, coloring pencils and books.

Students will also receive a mesh book bag, a requirement for students.

Supply lists: What you child needs before school starts

Many parents said they look forward to the event every year because it's such a huge blessing to their families to receive free supplies.

All schools have a booth at the event set up to provide information to parent about the upcoming school year.

The district is also providing drinks and snacks for students and parents.

Students head back to school August 29.
