Mullins police charged three students from Palmetto Middle School following a fight on a school bus.
Mullins Police Chief Kenneth Davis says he's charged two 13-year-old girls and a 14-year-old girl with 3rd degree assault and bullying.
Davis says the girls assaulted 12-year-old twin sisters and their 13-year-old brother on the school bus last week.
He says the incident stemmed from a disagreement at Palmetto Middle School and carried over onto the school bus.
Davis says he charged the teens with bullying because they were trying to incite others to join in the fight.
The incident was caught on the bus's on-board video camera. We hope to post the video later today.
The teens are charged as juveniles and remain in the custody of their parents. Their names are not being released because of their age.
We're waiting to hear from school district officials regarding any disciplinary action against the students.
Coming up tonight on NewsChannel 15 at Six, you'll hear from the mother of the accused victims.
