Police looking for Hartsville murderer

Police are investigating the murder of a Hartsville man.

Hartsville police were called to a home on Cooley Street around 3 a.m. Thursday.

Hazel Herkin Knox, 51 was found shot to death, according to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.

Hardee says an autopsy is being performed to confirm a cause of death.

Police have not arrested any suspects.

Officers will return to the scene and talk with neighbors in an effort to gather more evidence.
