Illegal immigrant pleads guilty to cocaine trafficking

Juventino Luna was sentenced to 17 years in prison with no parole after entering a guilty plea to Trafficking Cocaine.

On May 12, 2011, agents of the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a Myrtle Beach home.

Agents found around 1,000 grams of cocaine and about 22 pounds of marijuana along with digital scales and packaging materials.

Luna was a resident at the house and had access to the drugs located in the home, according to officials.

Agents also found approximately 8 grams of cocaine as well as $14,500 in a bedroom determined to be occupied by Luna. All the drugs and money located in the house were seized.

The other two defendants living in the residence also pled guilty to drug charges.

Juan Lopez pled guilty to Trafficking Marijuana and received 5 years in prison. Luis Lopez pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and also received 5 years in prison.
